Sea of flavor in Mykonos, Greece

This summer, many have been seduced by the Greek Islands. Picture the deep blue waters stretching out across the horizon, dotted with idyllic islands and framed by rugged coastline. Time slows to the leisurely speed of the island, the sun graces the sky a little longer than usual, and fresh tan lines serve as a reminder of a day spent by the sea.

Dining on Manto

The boat is docked off Goat Island, a small, picturesque islet busting with natural beauty, and of course goats. The surroundings set the scene to highlight this exquisite dining experience. Along with breathtaking views, Greece is known for its rich culture and warm hospitality. In Greek they refer to this as Filoxenia, meaning friend to the guest, ensuring you feel welcomed and cherished.

Upon boarding the boat, the crew welcomes you with a spritz and a quick tour of the bohemian decorated vessel. The boat's Captain Tèo- is not only the captain, but the fisherman, chef, and an incredibly charming host. Prepare yourself for hours of indulging in not only food but good company.

The menu

Captain Tèo prepared traditional dishes that celebrate Greek cuisine and the natural flavors of the sea. All the seafood is sourced directly from the surrounding sea and caught only hours before consuming. We started off the meal with fresh caught uni and red snapper ceviche. Moved on to the mains of homemade pasta linguine, a tender white fish seasoned simply with herbs and spices, accompanied with sides of potatoes prepared the local way and wild arugula salad with feta. We ended the meal with an insane chocolate mousse.

Booking

A delicious dish is one thing, but the experience orchestrated by Captain Theo and his crew is what makes this a truly memorable meal. Whether you are a seafood lover or simply seeking a new dining adventure, this is an experience not to be missed.
